Melissa earned her BA in Psychology from UCLA in 1990 and her MA in Psychology (specialty in School Psychology) from CSUN in 1994. After passing the BBS LEP exam on the first attempt in June 2005, she has maintained a private practice as a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP). Prior to beginning her private practice, Melissa worked as a school psychologist for 11 years in several school districts in Southern California. In 2001, Melissa was honored by her school colleagues with the California Association of School Psychologist's "Outstanding School Psychologist of the Year" award for Region VIII (Ventura County). In 2009, Melissa became a Diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychologist.

Life as a LEP
Melissa has worked with a variety of students, their families, and school staff over the years. Her skills cover all types of learning issues, the assessment of those concerns, treatment and parent/teacher support for the students. Melissa's specific interests are in working with students with behavioral and emotional disorders, such as ADHD, Autism, Anxiety and Depression as well as using school neuropsychological principals in her assessments.
Melissa's other expertise include:
* Rorschach administration (advanced two day training for Children and Adolescents completed)
* ADOS administration (Autism Diagnostic Observation System two day training completed)

returning to college or a change in career, I aim to provide support to
assist you and your student to achieve to the highest level possible.
Through work with you, your student and teachers, I can assist with greater
understanding of strengths, weaknesses, learning styles and strategies
to improve performance. I work to interact with each facet of a
student's life to improve functioning."
Kufasimes has now joined our group and started the Sacramento office in
Jennifer is a credentialed School Psychologist and a Licensed Educational Psychologist. She began her School Psychology career in 1998 working in a variety of Southern California Schools for several years prior to moving to the Sacramento area where she enjoys raising her family. Currently she has a private practice in the Sacramento area where she specializes in psycho educational assessments, social and behavioral interventions and consultation. Jennifer is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve student success.
Jenny Jones and Kris Sourbeer have also been a part of Team SUCCESS; however, they are currently pursuing other facets of their careers and lives. This flexibility is what makes having your LEP an asset to your career as a school psychologist as one is able to work within the parameters of what you are currently capable of doing, based on your other commitments.
